Asterisk RPMS for Fedora Core 5/6 and RHEL4 (with openh323 and zaptel xen kernel modules - not tested)

RPMS and SRPMS for Asterisk 1.2 and Astersik 1.4 for Fedora Core 5/6 are available at:http://djflux.net/rpms/
Fedora Core - http://djflux.net/rpms/fedora/
RHEL/CentOS - http://djflux.net/rpms/enterprise.

Also available at djflux.net are RPMs of the new Asterisk GUI framework. These RPMs are from the SVN sources. The RPM version number will indicate the SVN revision
(e.g. asterisk-gui-0.194-1.fc6.i386.rpm will install SVN revision 194).

Asterisk RPMS for RedHat

RedHat (7.3, 8 and 9) and Fedora RPMS are available at:
ftp://ftp.nacs.net/asterisk/

An alternative set of RPMs are available here:
ftp://ftp.linuxsys.com/pub/LSE/packages/

The RPMS on these FTP sites are experimental builds for
RedHat and are not officially supported or sanctioned by Digium.
Therefore, support will not be provided by Digium. Please be
respectful of this fact and use the high quality, extensive
resources provided by the Asterisk community for support. Chances
are that all of the questions you will ask have been answered in
the past. Take the time to research before you ask!

While the maintainers of these RPMS have made every effort to
ensure the widest level of compatibility and stability, every
Asterisk installation is different. Therefore, we would caution
you against using these on Production systems without proper
testing.

Currently, the nacs.net RPMS are being maintained by Gregory Boehnlein
<damin@nacs.net>. Please help the cause by sending patches,
updates, suggestions and improvements by E-mail.

Quickstart

Download the appropriate RPMS for your distribution and install
in the following order:

rpm -Uvh libpri*
rpm -Uvh zaptel*
rpm -Uvh kernel-module-zaptel*
rpm -Uvh asterisk*

Note: If you see a "asound" dependency error when installing the asterisk RPM, you will need to install the alsa-lib package.

Configuration

Installing the RPMS will not yield a working system and to get
anything useful working, you will need to configure Asterisk.

Special Thanks

These RPMS are made possible from a combination of work that I
have done and the excellent work of Tom Moertel
http://community.moertel.com for the Zaptel RPM.
