Ask a question- Re: What VoIP router to buy?
by mbsat Sun 13 of Jul, 2008 If you actual router is still working fine and you're happy with it, just pick up a cheap ATA (Grandstream, Linksys) for $50 or less and plug it in to replace your old 486. I'm not sure it's worth spending $100+ to replace both boxes when you already have something working.

by mbsat Sun 13 of Jul, 2008 There are very few wired IAX phone (and most aren't worth it anyway), but I'm not aware of any cordless IAX phones.
I'd recommend a cheap SIP ATA with a regular analog cordless phone, or perhaps a DECT SIP phone such as the Snom M3. Any reason you want IAX in particular?
