Asterisk/Altigen Sip connection One way audio

My codecs are matching. ulaw. 711 , also would i get audio from asterisk to altigen if the codecs were not matching?

You will need to check your codec settings. Both sides must use the same codec otherwise it cannot be compatible. You may also read more about it on Voip Call Shop

I have a a situation were from the asterisk side i can direct dial an alitgen extention and audio works both ways. But when i direct dial the oposite way, altigen to asterisk extention i get no audio either way. it connects but we cant hear each other???
any help would be greatly appreciated.
