Add an A record to the nameserver for your domain. For example, if you have a domain called example.com, add an A record to the nameserver records for "asterisk" and the ip of your external IP.

Then you can connect to your asterisk server using asterisk.example.com

I am an introducer of the asterisk , CentOS . I can install it by reading manual guide but in here i dont know how to configure DNS on this asterisk and so i can connect this asterisk server from the clients( X-Lite) by only IP. I dont want to use IP. Actually I want to connect to asterisk server by using its DNS name. If someone in here knows about this pls let me know.
